Guidelines for LAUSD Families

  • We must keep a current IEP on file in our office. Please provide a copy BEFORE the first scheduled appointment and be sure to provide us with copies of all future IEP's.
  • Your child will be scheduled for services as specified in the IEP. Services will be scheduled only for days when your child's school is in session, and he/she is scheduled to attend school. You are responsible for notifying staff of your child's school closure dates. You will be 100% responsible for payment for services not authorized by the school district.
  • It is very important to be consistent and timely in keeping your appointments. We request a 24-hour cancellation notice. Two consecutive cancellations may result in a forfeiture of your allotted time.
  • Please allow at least 10 days advance notice for us to prepare your child's IEP. Please notify us as soon as possible.
  • Be sure to confirm your next appointment before you leave the office.
  • Please wait patiently with your child in the waiting room until the therapist comes to receive you. We request that you please do not interrupt another child's session or allow your child to play in any therapy room in the absence of our therapist.
  • Please make sure that we have current contact information on file; cell, work, home etc
  • We will frequently communicate with you by placing information or memos on the front counter for you to read. Please read this information.
  • In order to keep our waiting area clean and attractive, we ask that you do not eat or drink in the waiting room.
  • Please respect our staff. We are here to serve you and your child.
  • If you have questions regarding agency policy or procedures that have not been addressed here, please direct them to Dr. Wiley.
