Social Skills Training
Social Skills Training
Our center offers a weekly social skills program for children and adolescents diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome, high functioning autism and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. Many of the children with these diagnoses have social and behavioral deficits, creating difficulties in making and maintaining friendships. Our center addresses these concerns by providing the children with the opportunity to learn appropriate social language skills in a structured yet fun setting. Our program is unique in that our classes are taught by SLPs who possess extensive knowledge about all aspects of communication.
Additionally, we provide the children opportunities to practice their newly acquired skills through community outings such as bowling, restaurants, and sporting events.
